ABOUT US
Malawi Matters has completed the Creative Methods of HIV and AIDS Education training and the Equipping Women | Empowering Girls training programs in 200 villages of the central region of Malawi. That means we have trained 2,256 Certified Creative Methods instructors and 1,128 Certified Equipping Women instructors, who impact countless others. Our Regional Reps, Area Reps and local certified trainers continue to work in the villages teaching their constituent groups and providing continuing education and refresher courses.
These villages challenged us to expand the training program to their communities through all schools in the nine districts of the central region of Malawi… so we did! We are currently training teachers to be Coordinating Teams for their school zones, who will share the lessons with their colleagues. They will ultimately impact 2,500 primary and secondary schools and thousands of children and their families, empowering them to change the stigma and misinformation around HIV and AIDS that negatively impacts their communities — and nation.
